    Ask the seller: Ask for records showing the timing belt and water pump were changed.

    If it was skipped: Engine Builder Magazine gives Toyota's interval as 90,000 miles and says the UZ engines are interference engines that could be badly damaged if the belt breaks. The belt also drives the water pump, and CARspec replaced both together.
