What Shifterati keeps about its readers, and what it never does. Last changed 29 October 2026.
The short version
Reading Shifterati needs no account and leaves nothing about you behind. The site sets no cookie for readers, runs no analytics, shows no ads and loads nothing from another company.
Shifterati never sells, rents or shares anyone's data, and never joins it with data from anywhere else.
When you read a page
The site's own server keeps no log of which pages are read or by whom.
The site is hosted on Render, which carries each visit to the site and may keep its own technical records of it under its own privacy policy.
Every font, script and picture comes from the site itself, so no other company learns that you visited. When you follow a link to a source, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Feedback you send
A note sent through the feedback form keeps what kind of note it is, the page it is about and what you wrote. It keeps nothing else: no address, no browser details and no account. It is kept as a private issue on GitHub, where the site's code lives, and only the people who run the site read it.
Please leave your name and contact details out, since there is no way to reply. If you put something personal in a note by mistake, send another note saying which page it was about and when, and it will be deleted.
Support payments
Support is paid on the payment provider's own page. The site loads nothing from it, so the provider learns about you only if you follow the link. What you enter there is handled under the provider's own privacy policy.
The provider tells the site about each payment, as it does for any business. That is used only to keep the site's accounts and answer questions about a payment, and is never joined with what you read.
Member accounts
There are no accounts yet. This page will change before the first one can be made.
An account will hold only what its member chose to add, such as saved cars and checklist ticks, along with a display name, the email address or Discord account used to sign in, when they joined, and that they said they are 13 or older. It will never hold a license plate, a VIN, a price paid or asked, or a location more exact than a town.
A member will be able to see what is kept, download all of it with one button and delete it with another. A deleted account leaves the site's backups within 7 days.
Reading has no age limit. An account needs its member to be 13 or older.
Counting readers
The site does not count its readers yet. If it starts, it will count with its own code, set no cookie, store no IP address and keep nothing that could pick one reader out, and this page will say so first.
Changes
The date at the top says when this page last changed. Anything that would keep more about readers changes this page first.
