History: facts, each with its source
SlashGear says Crawl Control controls acceleration and braking at low speed so the driver can focus on steering. It has five settings: the lowest suit going downhill over rock, gravel or moguls, and the higher ones going uphill through snow, mud, gravel or moguls. It changes the throttle and brakes on its own, sometimes loudly.1
SlashGear says to use it the driver stops, shifts to neutral, selects 4-Low, picks drive or reverse, turns Crawl Control on and chooses a speed, then lets go of the brake. It lists the Land Cruiser, Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner among the Toyotas that have it.1
